The Graduate Program

Graduate students in the Melbourne Law School can undertake masters degrees and graduate diplomas with a human rights focus. Graduate students can also undertake research in human rights law in the Research Higher Degree Program, or study the Melbourne Juris Doctor.

Agata Wierbowski

Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Laws

In 2006 Agata completed a research paper on the discourse of 'human trafficking' in international law from a human rights perspective. Agata’s paper focused on the human rights effects of anti-trafficking legislation on women migrating from Nepal to India.

Over the summer of 2005/2006 Agata undertook a comparative study of regulatory approaches to sex work and their impacts on sex workers' rights as part of a legal internship with the Forum for Women, Law and Development in Kathmandu, Nepal.
