Internship Opportunities

Melbourne Law School students are encouraged to undertake internships in the human rights area, either in Australia or overseas. Many internship opportunities are available, either through the teaching programs or independently.

Undergraduate students can enrol in the subject Legal Internship and gain credit points for their internship. Visit the Legal Internship subject webpage for more information.

Melbourne Law School undergraduate students have previously completed eligible human rights related internships in Australia at:

  • Australian Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Department, Melbourne
  • Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Litigation and Policy Section, Canberra
  • United Nations High Commission for Refugees, Canberra
  • Native Title Internships (see below)
  • And overseas:

    Postgraduate students can enrol in the subject International Legal Internship and gain credit points for their internship. Visit the International Legal Internship webpage for more information.
